Today, VP Records is pleased to release an unearthed 7” single from the mighty Junior ‘One Blood’ Reid to celebrate his birthday on all streaming platforms.
“Mother Move,” originally slated for release in 1985, this vocal mix was included on Reid’s crucial LP Boom-Shack-A-Lack however the Dub mix from Prince Jammy (who would later become the digital Dancehall master King Jammy) has only just been uncovered.
Reid sends out a lyrical big-up to all the strong Mothers working hard to make ends meet, all backed by a classic slice of Rub-a-Dub built by the Hi-Times band.
To complete the digital-only package, an extended disco mix with the vocal mix echoing into the heavy Dub mix is included.
