Rocket Companies, a Detroit-based fintech platform, has appointed Papanii Okai as the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Product Engineering, effective October 7. Okai, a seasoned tech executive, will lead the company’s product engineering team to create AI-driven products at an accelerated pace.

As the founder and CTO of Venmo, Okai was instrumental in transforming the digital payment company into a leading mobile payment service. Prior to his tenure at Venmo, he held various technology leadership roles at PayPal, leveraging his technical expertise to spearhead the development of innovative products.
