The Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) has announced a new leader at the helm, with Joneigh S. Khaldun, MD, MPH, FACEP, set to take over as President and CEO on January 13, 2025. Dr. Khaldun’s appointment follows a lengthy search for a candidate with a strong background in public health leadership and business acumen.
Dr. Khaldun’s new role is a significant milestone for the organization, which has experienced significant growth and expansion under the guidance of her predecessor, Paul Kuehnert, DNP, RN, CPH, FAAN. Dr. Kuehnert is retiring after a five-year tenure that has seen the organization flourish under his leadership.
